Interactive Forum October 2020: Brandon Nakashima Backhand

    Brandon Nakashima Backhand

I saw Brandon Nakashima play for the first time in his run to the quarterfinals in Delray Beach early this year—one of the last pro events pre-Covid. I really liked his game and his attitude!

Last month we looked at his forehand. This month is two-handed backhand. Let’s have your analysis in the Forum!

Interesting how he seems to have little to no space between his fingers on the grips

It is interesting how closed his shoulders are at contact. Bent/straignt arm combo, but but very closed hips and shoulders.

That's pretty typical on two handers especially bent straight.

Good grip for balls from the hip down. Tall balls will have difficulties. ...Google translate
